Find Your Superpower: You’re More Talented Than You Think. You’re More Distinctive Than You Realise.
Feb 16, 2026
Most people can tell you what they’re bad at.
They can list their weaknesses.
Their mistakes.
Their insecurities.
Their self-doubt.
What they often struggle to identify is something far more important.
Their superpower.
The thing they do naturally that others find difficult.
The strength they undervalue because it feels effortless.
The capability they’ve used for so long they no longer recognise it as unique.
Over the years, I’ve worked with graduates, professionals, leaders, founders, and future leaders who all shared a similar challenge.
They were looking for something extraordinary.
A hidden talent.
A breakthrough skill.
A dramatic moment of discovery.
What they eventually realised was that their superpower had been there all along.
Hidden in plain sight.
For some, it was their ability to connect people.
For others, it was problem solving.
Storytelling.
Empathy.
Creativity.
Leadership.
Strategic thinking.
Communication.
The challenge wasn’t developing the superpower.
It was recognising it.
Because what comes naturally to you often appears ordinary.
Yet those natural strengths are often the foundation of the strongest personal brands.
People don’t become memorable because they try to be everything.
They become memorable because they become known for something.
A distinctive strength.
A consistent value.
A unique contribution.
That’s where influence begins.
That’s where confidence grows.
And that’s often where opportunities start to appear.
In this week’s edition of The Brand Build, I explore how to identify your personal superpower, why most people overlook their greatest strengths, and how understanding what makes you distinctive can transform the way you build your career and personal brand.
