10,000 Subscribers Revealed One Clear Pattern
Jun 08, 2026
When I started writing The Brand Build, I wasn’t focused on subscriber numbers.
I wasn’t chasing vanity metrics.
I wasn’t trying to become a creator.
I simply wanted to share what I had learned from years spent helping professionals, leaders, founders, graduates, and future leaders build stronger personal brands.
But recently, we crossed a milestone that made me stop and reflect.
More than 10,000 people have now subscribed to The Brand Build.
And when I looked back across the conversations, assessments, workshops, coaching sessions, content, and stories that led here, one pattern stood out above everything else.
The people who build the strongest personal brands rarely start by trying to build a personal brand.
Instead, they start by understanding themselves.
Most people begin at the visible end of the journey.
They focus on content.
Posting.
Visibility.
Followers.
Engagement.
But the people who create lasting influence tend to work in the opposite direction.
They spend time understanding who they are.
What they stand for.
What they want to be known for.
What unique experiences, strengths, values, and stories make them different.
Only then do they focus on how they communicate that to the world.
The result?
Their content feels clearer.
Their message feels more authentic.
Their reputation compounds faster because it is built on something real.
This is one of the biggest lessons that 10,000 subscribers reinforced.
Visibility is not the foundation of a personal brand.
Identity is.
The strongest brands are not built from the outside in.
They’re built from the inside out.
In this week’s edition of The Brand Build, I explore the biggest insights from the journey to 10,000 subscribers and why one recurring pattern continues to separate those who build influence from those who simply build attention.
